We are the oldest Iranian university society in Britain. Our aim is to promote and encourage an awareness of various aspects of Iranian culture.
We offer a wide range of activities at this Society trying to satisfy everyone's taste.
The first event of the year will be our Fresher's Dinner. This is a great opportunity for the new Iranian students at Imperial to get to know each other and the committee. Our main cultural events throughout the year are the Yalda Night Ball and Norooz Ball.
Yalda Night is one of the oldest celebrations in the Iranian calendar and the event occurs in December. In March the Society holds the annual Norooz Ball in cooperation with other universities in London to celebrate the Iranian New Year. We usually host about 200 students at one of the top venues in London.
We also organize some sports events throughout the year. The ICIS football team usually participates in two main tournaments each year: The OSC World Cup at Imperial and a tournament between Iranian Societies from different universities. In addition, we host a party every term in London's top clubs, where you will have a chance to dance to some traditional and modern Iranian party tunes.
Becoming a member of the club will give you significant discounts for all of our events! Therefore do NOT hesitate to purchase your membership. We are all looking forward to seeing you at our events.
